It couldn’t be that the median age of Americans has gone up ten years since 1960.

You’d have to be pretty old now to have protested against Vietnam. There are definitely some of those people there, but there’s also oldish people going out today who weren’t around for Vietnam.

We’re there because we’ve got the perspective to very clearly understand that this chapter in history is bad. The things that are being done today by the people in charge of the federal and many state governments aren’t just ineffective, or distasteful, or counterproductive. They are historically wrong.
