Not something my schedule allows. That’s the point. If you can do it, more power to you. “Be a politician yourself” doesn’t always align with the goal of supporting a family.

Juggling family responsibilities is tough. There’s still a lot you can do though. Talk to your friends, family, and neighbors. Let them know your concerns and encourage them to voice their opinions with others as well. Attend local township meetings and town halls. Even just staying informed can make a difference.

I agree with all of that.

But when it’s time to vote, what can you do that is better than voting for Democrats?

I’m not saying “don’t do other stuff and just vote.” But it feels like a lot of people ARE saying “don’t vote; just do other stuff.”

As much as it sucks, we’re all better off voting for Democrats than not voting or voting conservative or third party.

no one knows has all the answers for what the right way forward is, but we definitely know what the wrong ways are because we keep doing them over and over again to “reduce harm” and here we are w fascists in charge and more in the future.

the only way to fix it is to get involved and even bernie & aoc say so; that doesn’t mean you stop supporting a family, it means you have to figure out what you can do to help and recognizing what doesn’t work so you don’t keep making things worse, like voting for the “less bad option” each time.

So are you not going to vote next time?

          Vote for a conservative?

          Write in a wasted vote?

Be realistic. How many choices do we have?

Next time we’re standing in the voting booth, what is a better option than voting for the Democrats? I don’t like them either. But right then. Right there. WTF else are we really supposed to do?

If you can do things that make a difference aside from voting, by all means do that. But advocating for anything other than voting for Democrats when it’s time to vote is just irrational. Do the best you can in each moment - even when the thing you’re doing isn’t enjoyable.

the only irrational thing is repeating the same actions that brought us here.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.
