Alternative headline: “80% of Labour Party respondents think trans women are women.”
Just to clarify the article a bit for others who may be too lazy to read all the way through, 4 responded yes and the others didn’t respond at all.
It wasn’t a large pile of “No” at least, but still disappointing to see. But I’m also not sure if they chose not to reply out of fear of some political misstep, or if maybe they were simply oblivious to the request for comment. Who knows.

It’s definitely the former. Look at Labour leadership. They don’t call it terf island for nothing
Just you wait, the TERFs and the fascists (but I repeat myself) will come for you too.
“Silence will not save you.”
They got theirs so they don’t want to cause a stir and draw attention.

Why would any politician answer a politically loaded question that is ultimately meaningless?
Because essentially the question is, ‘Do you believe in human rights, science, and health care?’
If they don’t believes trans women are women, then they don’t believe in human rights for trans people, don’t believe in the science that says being trans is a real biological thing, and don’t believe in treating gender dysphoria with health care that’s proven to be incredibly effective.
