the people who suggest this always excuse themselves out of doing it.

Are you suggesting that you’re not good at being a slave but you can be a slave master?

These companies are making a bank out of planned obsolescence, and they can do so because their workers are cheap.

In a throwaway culture, you do not want to be a generic factory worker, because your time and efforts will be worth almost nothing.

It doesn’t have to be this way, but cheap labor from places like China has enabled this culture. If you don’t want to be a slave, you have to change that culture.

Edit: As others have said, certain classes of people will be exempt from having to work in factories in his mind. It’s not this bastard’s children or grandchildren he is referring to of course.

One of the key things about this administration is that they don’t believe everyone should live, or have a good life. They’re not trying to do the right thing for most people, because they believe only the elite few (themselves) deserve to live, and live well. They see everyone else as a lesser kind of being, and a disposable resource for their own use. Quite a lot of people they would prefer to kill or let die. This is fundamental to how fascists think. So when they enact policies that will make life worse for people or cause people to die, they just don’t care. The only ones worth taking care of are themselves, because they’re just better.
