I didn’t need the latest round of terrible decisions to form my opinion. Nearly everything that’s happened has only entrenched it more deeply.

The US has a fundamental leadership problem on multiple levels. The electorate is no longer knowledgeable enough to assess competency. The bill is coming due, and if we can pay it at all, it will only be through a whole lot of pain. I hope we are able to develop the humility and critical thinking ability to make better choices in the future as we learn hard lessons from our hubris and mistakes."

What people are doing in reaction and what they think of him. It’s so exhausting. And you are right, the entrenchment only continues to deepen. Collectively, we deserve the ass-whooping that we are surely going to get and yes, maybe it will humble us finally.”
