      That’s not true. These imprisonments have been contested in court and people have been released as a consequence. There have been at least two high-profile examples of this for protestors against Israel’s genocide in the past couple of days.

      If they suspend habeas corpus, that’s it. The government can imprison you on a whim, for life, and you’ll have no right or opportunity to challenge it in court.
