    Because debt loads. Cutting taxes while increasing spending is reckless and stupid, and leads to investors fleeing Canada, leading to the current productivity crisis Canada has. Citing the BoC.

      I agree - which is why I opposed the tax cuts.

      Both con and lib proposed spending increases, so I’m not sure what your point is.

      Cons wanted to increase incarceration rates, which is increased spending. Quite a bit of spending

      Cons platform also relies largely on growth in order to meet their budgets, a risky bet considering that didn’t play out for harper and his similar platform. They still project a 100bil deficit over the next four years too, even with their huge slashes they wanted to make.
