    Whereas, the effects on civilization itself will be felt in every community across the globe, no matter how small or isolated. Climate refugees will not only overload their neighboring areas’ infrastructure, but their numbers will balloon rapidly along with the various cascading failures inherent to said extinction event’s progress.

    Would’ve if we weren’t so shit at living outside our own myopic fears & infantile selfism. Nature DGAF, and the very concept of “stability” is an ostrich of bedtime story to keep our various stark realities at bay so we can maybe just maybe attempt to sleep amidst the storms rolling in.

    In short, forecasting charts, et al, have nothing on the human species’ ability to fuck shit up proper sideways — and in brand new, inventively rapid directions. Hell, if it weren’t for that alone (and a few other paradoxes, sure), we’d already be part of the Federation. 🤌🏼
