Summary
A psychiatrist uses his wife’s hypnotically recovered memories of a past life as an Aztec princess to discover a hidden tomb with treasures… but they come with a curse.
And a mad scientist has a plan to overcome the curse and steal the treasure to fund his evil masterplan.
I chose this at random, cuz with a title like that, how could I resist! I did not know:
- it was the third film in a trilogy
- it recapped and recycled much of the first two films, which would explain why 80% seems like retelling and flashbacks.
- it was the second movie ever riffed by Mystery Science Theatre 3000.
Despite being a brief 64 minutes, it still feels like this could have been cut another 20 minutes, and the promised “robot”-(more like a cyborg)-on-mummy action was only a few minutes at the very end.

I thought I recognized this. MST3k did an episode on this one.
I have the Tubi link for that MST3K ep after the screenshots, not sure how many people that works for.
Oh. Yup. I didn’t see that. Idk how good Tubi is with ad blocking, but I can tell you that it works with YouTube.
I watched it on Tubi (without an account), with Zen Browser (mod of Firefox) and uBlock Origin. I haven’t seen any ads on Tubi so far, although a few times there was a pause of about a second before resuming, presumably when they were going to show ads but which were blocked.
Good to know. Maybe I’ll give Tubi a shot then.
Aw yeah, this was a monsterdon movie last december… back when I was still new to it.

I didn’t see the previous movies so I kind of liked the Aztec parts and wished there was more of that. The villain scientist was doing his best. The robot was fun in a campy way. But mostly it was pretty tedious.
Yeah, the villain brought it to life a bit, but yeah a bit of a slog. Especially as being 80%retelling/flashback meant there was little jeopardy.
This looks like a B++ movie to me 🤓
Thanks for the nice post!
You’re welcome :)
