    it sounds like you better stick to windows. installing something like Ubuntu or KDE Neon is a no-brainer usually, i never had issues installing the os before (those come later admittedly)

      I’ve successfully installed and used Ubuntu for well over a year before. You don’t need to be condescending. But if it keeps me from encountering people like you, I just might.

        If the community really wants us to switch, it needs to iron out all this garbage at the front door

        not sure which one of us is more entitled, the “community” doesn’t owe you anything

          Ah yes, the “you’re not owned anything” condescending comment when I’m talking about the overall state of Linux being unfriendly to newcomers and being unproductive to its goals. Seriously, the snotty replies alone are off-putting. If this is the community that awaits me then I’d rather pay up MS and get my work done in peace.
