For reasons of safety and practicality, much of the trip was by means other than bicycle - but her solo circumnavigation was a major sign of the times, of women’s liberation and newfound capacity for independent travel.
Yeah I was going to say you can’t actually manage most of the earths surface on a bicycle and there isn’t a good way to get from one cyclable part to another.
By “practicality” do they mean she had a really sore vaj?
