Maybe this is knee jerk. But Ramsdale is somehow able to fire up what’s in front of him in situations like this in a way I haven’t seen from Raya. Sometimes you need a mad bastard with a bit of fire to wake the team up.

This is what I’ve been saying for the past like, 3 weeks :p Ramsdale has a higher ceiling on current performance, even though he has a lower floor. I’d rather Ramsdale. Especially since Raya hasn’t been great.

For me it’s personality, there’s a reason we got so many points from losing positions last year (some might also say there’s a reason why we were behind in the first place). Raya is better at plucking the ball out of the air on crosses, but I just don’t see any other benefit to him under the eye test.

Raya has now made two mistakes in back to back games that have contributed to a goal being conceded. I would like Ramsdale to start against City, doubt it will happen, though.

I think Ramsdale is better at making saves as well when they matter. I can see how Raya’s better on the ball, but the bottom line is we need to not concede if we want to win.

Were people not watching the same match, we had 6 shots on target and 4 of those were solid efforts, everyone struggles with a block like that, defensive mistakes cost us more than attacking issues.

We didn’t even look like attacking for a good while before and after they scored their second. Unlucky, yes, but we need to do better.

How can you imply we didn’t have attacking issues? We aimlessly passed the ball around with no intent for most of this match.

I see we’re copying the WFC strategy of getting ourselves kicked out of the CL because we don’t attack for shit

About 70 minutes of nothing ball. Should’ve just watched whatever mediocre Marvel based TV show Disney has just diarrhoead out. Would’ve shown more character than I just witnessed over the last two hours from this team.

ESR, 10 mins or so after he came on tracked back and took the ball with a clean tackle against Diouf who was just subbed on. He showed enough energy and creativity for me to think he’s ready to be a starter. I don’t know why Arteta has him on the bench. The biggest case against him for the 8 role was tracking back and defending. He proved it wrong today. He needs more minutes. Also, REST SAKA FFS!

      Breaking News

Manchester United have parted ways with Erik Ten Hagg.

…Jk but seriously tho. He has to be feeling it after back to back losses at home

I blame the kit. And the Luton flight that got delayed a bunch.

It is definitely on ourselves. We need to be winning games like these, or not playing our first choice. Either, or. If we play the likes of Saka, Zinchenko, we have to win. No exceptions.

Last time Lens won a CL game was 2002, comeback against Milan, who went on to win the UCL.

    Plan??
