Ok, I donā€™t know where else to post this and I have to tell somebody, so yā€™all get to suffer:

I checked in to a campground this week and the earnest guy warned me very seriously that THREE different people have seen a cougar prowling the campground recently. They donā€™t know if itā€™s all the same cougar, or could be maybe three different cougars, but be careful.

Also there is a resident bear who frequently comes around disturbing the guests.

And I had to listen to this with a straight face and tell him Iā€™ll watch out and not make any dirty jokes in response. It was very difficult.

Anyway so I have definitely been keeping a close eye out for cougars but I donā€™t know if Iā€™ve seen any. šŸˆ

    if you see either of those things remember to be loud and if itā€™s a cougar, make yourself as big as you can and throw shit at it and donā€™t stop staring at it

    same loud and big, throw shit at it for bears but donā€™t look it in the eyes and donā€™t turn your back to either of them

    same for those older ladies but donā€™t throw stuff, and offer them a drink

        (i.e. play dead for grizzlies, fight against black bears. Grizzlies like fresh meat, black bears will eat dead stuff)
