So, done several of this carjacking missions now, when they’re timed, I usually get within like 200-300m away from the target until time runs out, even if I’ve literally leaned on the pedal and had straight road with next to no traffic on it.
I can only assume there are more optimal ways to get to the destination than what the “gps routing” is giving me, unless I just plain old need to “gid gud”.
Give it to me straight, are these just brutally tight timewise or do I just plain suck?
I wouldn’t usually care for optional things, but El capitan berating me each time is getting old.
I think I saw a post that indicated that the next patch would include some readjustments for the times on the carjacking missions. I hope that’s true because these missions have always seemed way over tuned to me.
I haven’t done them yet, but from some of the mods available to mitigate this, I think the timing is just exceptionally tight.
kinda feels like it. Literally nothing in the game feels this “souls-like” :D
Not that I feel like I’m missing a lot, these seem to be more or less just those skill/money/car-discount/whatever shards farming more than anything, just gauging if I just suck or these are just brutally tight.
Also, yea “my friend” might check that mod…
Oh they definitely are tight. I was meant to do 4.7 km in just under 3 minutes. I actually got pretty close (though nowhere near close enough), but then NPCs attacked and I crashed into some peeps, which got the police on my tail.
Been a mixed bag for me. If it’s a straight time-trial with no enemies showing up, I can usually complete about 66% of them.
If enemies show up during the drive, I immediately tank the mission, as it’s a waste of my time. I beat those time trials less than 25% of the time simply because the enemies are so hard to take down from a non-weaponized vehicle.
haven’t finished a single timed one in time. Closest I’ve been was like 10m away until the last second ticked away, and even with that I don’t feel like there’s much that could have been done better and the car sure as hell doesn’t move faster.
oh well.
