The inflation basket is already misleading as fuck. I think they weighed food/groceries at 10% but few households can spend that little of their income on food anymore so food getting more expensive will have a bigger effect. It’s similar for rent and energy. Those are the unavoidable costs that hurt most household currently.
My child can’t eat “sound equipment” for lunch.
But it’ll be cheap sound equipment! No idea what uk politicians are smoking but would love some of it, sure seems to make life easier bullshiting way through life with no consequences.
