I have been wondering why I couldn’t get my NylAUG to cycle… basically I had a bolt action. Just finally decided to compare the internals of my current gas block to the other ones in another parts kit I have lying around. The smoother one obviously moves more freely than the corroded one.🤦♂️

The gas rings should be the only thing touching the bore. There should be more than enough gas that it moving “smoothly” wouldn’t be an issue.
Like worrying about sand under your wheels when you’re about to get hit by a semi truck.
Look through the gas port drill hole in the gas block, you should see the gas port hole in the barrel

The tail of the piston is corroded, also the hole in the gas block where the tail of the piston goes in also had some of the corrosion, I had to file it a lil bit too to allow smooth action.😉
