I’d like to offer an alternative to the subreddit dedicated to my favourite football (soccer) team. I’m pretty sure none of the reddit mods are interested in doing this, and I’ve deleted my account there, so I’m not going to try to persuade them.
Where would you recommend starting the community if you were in my position? I don’t mind doing the leg-work in the beginning, but I’m a bit too new to all this to know where to start.
I have made a magazine on kbin, but that doesnt seem to show up on a search of lemmy, for example. Am I missing something? I’m hoping to just get a visible presence on the fediverse, so anyone interested in leaving the reddit community can see they’re not alone.
