    Forced software updates that brick a device seems like really good grounds for suing for the cost of the device. If enough people do it, the cost for litigating all of that would be quite high.

      You could probably get away with small claims court tbh, big companies tend to just not even show up esp if the claim isn’t outrageous lmao
