Soviets fucked up bad by not completely killing off the wealthy bourgeois class. It should have been a pogrom-level genocide against the entire culture of wealthy elites, so as to fully eliminate any remnants of that greedy cultural influence those families encouraged.

Now almost 100 years later, the children of those elites are bribing and paying off politicians and officials to enable fascism and corrupt corporations to rule the land and money is God.

The analogy is: your home is infested with mice/rats, but you only decide to ask politely or negotiate with animals incapable of human speech instead of killing them, and wonder why your home is disgusting years later and you are constantly sick.
