Why we gotta keep simping the corporate sponsor when the event has been cancelled? It’s the celebration of light, if Honda still wants their name on it they can pony the fucking cash up themselves

*right yeah because it’s the daily hive, the literal hub of corporate ass sniffing and copy-paste journalism.

I remember an article they wrote last year about some restaurant closing and the copy-paster started going on about “recent streetview pictures from Google Maps…” recent fucking streetview pictures? motherfucker take a short drive and see for yourself

Where are you getting that it would still have the Honda name? The article clearly says that it would replace the HCoL.

I’m talking about the daily hive insisting on continuing to call the dead, unfunded celebration of lights the HONDA celebration of lights, despite the fact that if it WERE the Honda celebration of lights it would PROBABLY not be cancelled but since it IS we can just stop slopping corporate sponsorships onto it and just call it by its proper fucking name.

Maybe we can make this an every-few-years sort of event, make it more special that way.

I would be good with that too!

I’m not sure what the return on investment from tourism is like, but I do look forward to the event in the summer. Even when I don’t attend, there’s a nice vibe to it all 😄
