My choice was Guardians of the Galaxy. kidcalhoon2’s choice was Wicked 2… We’re about 1 hour in and you cannot convince me my choice wasn’t the better one.

You inspired me to watch it now.

Just finished the game recently and got a hankering for the franchise.

      Your choice wins

I’d rather err on the side of caution and keep them anonymous, but a massive fucking shout out for all the help today and the amazing stuff for the cats!!!

    Getting closer to being done.

Thank you @Catfish@aussie.zone for all your hard work 😃

Tonight’s hamburger was pretty good. I’ve never actually made proper hamburger buns before, I’m glad I worked out I can use my small loaf pan on top as a weight. It didn’t just make it flat, the weight made it a bit denser so it didn’t fall apart as I ate.

    My bread rolls are done.

A mixed batch with 2 hamburger buns (kept flat by putting a small loaf tin on top of them and two standard rolls. I also used a bit of dough to make some crackers, to go with some vegies and dip for snacks.

I’m really tired and didn’t do much today. But I threaded my eyebrows and put the dishes to soak. Last night Melbcat asked me to cuddle instead of doing the folding so I might sneak more of that while she’s asleep.

Computer games are kind of boring 😕 I might still play because there’s not much else I can really do right now.

Eyebrows alone are a big win. I recently acquired some eyebrow scissors, and let’s just say someone should’ve taken them off me.

And cuddles with Melbcat, sounds like a win for the Melba + Melbcat household, especially considering it was a low energy day.

Yeah, I did a thorough job and went over again with tweezers.

It’s so good to cuddle Melbcat. She has the softest thickest fur and loves being held

I managed to get out for a swim earlier and it was stunning - made even better by the dolphins that swam by. I absolutely squealed with delight!!

      Enjoy your beach walk!

I got some second hand at an acceptable price. This laptop doesn’t need to be super spec’d out because aparently the battery is beginning to go on it as well

This is a dell so I might be able to find a replacement pretty easily. I’ll have a look, thanks

A replacement battery for my MS surface is only $24 but it’s a wild process of heating and separating the parts as it’s stuck together with that yellow tape rather than simple micro-screws.

I am glad I watched a movie today, I am much more chill

How Green Was My Valley, 1941, 5 Oscars

story told by a young boy of growing up in a coal mining town in late 19th C Wales

of his family, coal mining, and his community

this is an old movie and for me so very everyday

but then thinking back to the time it describes and when it was made, pro Welsh, pro union, and anti-intolerant religion it would have been very forward thinking, even shocking to some.

and in that regard it is a very good and important movie

It also looks great, all done on sets and lots and designed for black and white,

another thing, people really did look older

    4/4 hobbits

I didn’t get to sleep for a long time last night and didn’t drink enough fluid today. Eugh.

The black cat turned up at 3am so while Melbcat rested I slipped out to supply dry food (which isn’t good but seems preferred) and some pats. He was purring. Melbcat is still a bit quiet but has been having some of her dry food. I’ve booked a vet appointment and given her anti nausea meds just in case.

    spoiler

Also found out someone’s been using one of my emails for a sketchy Instagram page. I’ve already changed the password and have two factor authentication. No idea if they accessed it or if they’re just using the address without having confirmed it. Wondering if I should request a password reset and delete their gram or what else I should do

too much internets has not been good for my mood regulation😕 the crazy thing is I would then go on internets to try to fix mood

I read someone watched a movie a day to help with that, thought it sounded like a good idea so I’m going to do that too. I have a stack of dvds I haven’t seen yet, after that I can watch the telly again.

I am starting with How Green was my Valley

Agreed, it’s a natural thing to do when you can’t be active or concentrate on craft/a book but it sure takes a claw hammer to your brain.

Maybe I need to buy a secondhand dvd player or playstation and actually use the secondhand tv
