The Green Party of England and Wales leader has revealed he will run for election in London in either Tottenham, Hackney or Walthamstow.
It means Polanski is likely to take on a senior Labour figure such as Tottenham’s David Lammy, the Deputy Prime Minister, or Hackney’s Dame Meg Hillier, chair of the Treasury committee.
Yeah good luck taking Tottenham.
When you consider the 2024 election results for Tottenham, where there was a sizeable swing away from Labour towards The Greens, it’s not inconceivable that The Greens could win.
I could see him winning in Walthamstow (unless he goes all out in defending Zionism), not so much Tottenham or Hackney.

I think a win in Hackney is a possibility considering in 2024 there was a 17.5% swing to the Green Party, and they got almost 23.9% of the vote.
I’m more familiar with hackney north, which is Diane Abbot’s constituency, I didn’t realise there was a hackney south. That looks like a better bet, Diane Abbot seems pretty popular in her constituency from what I can tell.
