I’ve unlocked all weapons in Vampire Survivors, and I’m too bored to grind the remaining 14 unlocks.
Please recommend me some proper, $10 up-front games.
Not paid but shattered pixel dungeon. Could always donate to the developers though
If we’re talking open-source, I’m raising you OpenTyrian in response.
Don’t see it in the playstore - who’s the dev / what site do you recommend to download a current APK?
Throwing an error that says it was made for an older version of Android, and not available on my device (probably why the a search in the playstore didn’t work). There’s a few websites pulling up on Google, but unsure which one is from the actual devs.
What’s the official place to get it?
I see it’s on Google Play Store, but it’s being useful as usual with “This app isn’t compatible with your device”.Ugh, no good way to get an up to date app unless you want to compile it yourself
Here’s a really outdated build, ot works fine on Android 12 despite printing a whole lot of warnings.

Bloons TD 6, Chroma Squad, Pocket City 2, Professor Layton, Stardew Valley
Also if you have a Netflix sub, check out their games for Android.

Great list, I’ve played half of these games. I guess it’s time to give Super Meat Boy a try, I think I’ll give up after the third level.

Stardew Valley
If you tried vampire survivors, you can try magic survival. It’s the original bullet hell roguelike, which inspired other genre defining games.
There’s 9th dawn rpg 3, which is a good indepth roguelike rpg game. Talking about roguelikes, let’s not forget Pocket Rogues. Then there’s grimvalor 3rd rpg hack and slash platformer.
You also have Titan Quest (legendary with all DLCs unlocked or regular version with in-app purchases) on mobile.
I also enjoy Undead Horde and Tesla vs lovecraft
Some people mentioned dead cells. Which reminds me that there’s a functional port of hollow knight for android. Just search reddit with Google.
I know, I know, but Flappy Bird.
It won’t be long before you won’t be able to play it anymore. This is due to Flappy Bird being 32-bit, and support for 32-bit apps is ending. For example, the Google Pixel 7 already blocks installation of 32-bit apps.
Also, the new SoC designs won’t inlude 32-bit support, which will be the hardware-dictated end of such apps.
Enjoy it while possible.Anyway, my favorites are Bus Simulator: Ultimate and Truckers of Europe 3.
Though, you may find them boring.
If you do try them though, be ready for your phone to turn into portable cooker. The heat already killed one motherboard in my phone. The other one had different issue.
Yes, my phone already had 2 in-warranty motherboard replacements. Poco X3 Pro, what do I say. A pretty common issue.
Generally your phone will just slow down instead of cooking itself, but that doesn’t mean the heat should be ignored.I owned Poco X3 Pro, it was the cheapest phone with SD 860. I’ve bought it specifically to play XCOM 2. Two years with no issues, I guess I was lucky.
Thank you for reminding me I can download that gem any time :)
I just did that some months ago with Nimble Quest, and having a blast.
