I haven’t used Matrix before but after signing up and trying to join the room by address, it says it’s not found. I am using Element X on iOS.
And if I try using the link in this post, the app says an unknown error occurred when I try to add it.
Thank you, joined! I ditched Discord recently and left some Autistic groups behind and have been absolutely starved for a safe space, thank you for getting this together. I only see two channels for the record, True Crime and Science & Space, if there should be more they’re not visible to a new user. (I’m the user that joined around 2026-03-06 01:45 or so)
See if more get suggested to you as you participate. Most of the rooms are encrypted so you may need to verify your account, etc first.
That’s the hard part, I don’t have that much interest in space and true crime so it doesn’t seem right to take up those channels with idle chatter

I might be an idiot, or something… but there aren’t any rooms in the space. Could of course be something with my setup… haven’t really touched “spaces” yet
You’ll have to join each room in a space separately so you have to “explore rooms” first. Unless that’s where nothing shows up :P
Yeah, that’s where I’m seeing nothing. Could of course be a configuration errror on my side. If everyone else is seeing rooms, and I’m not, it’s likely some config error on my server
