Evening folks, how’s it gawin? Who’s got summin tae share this week?
Looking forward to my first pint in weeks, having almost completed Dry Feb. Basically Dry Jan was out of the question as a few big social events happen then in my neck of the woods, so decided to lay off it for Feb instead. Also it’s shorter, which is ideal. Anyway, first pub visit in a while tomorrow night. Quietly excited.
Score. I do a month off each year, dry Jan starting usually about the 3rd (party dependant!) til the first 6n kick off. Good for the soul. And I do recommend it. Lent the other option. Take it easy my advice, first night and first hangover is hard!
Yeah, I’m actually slightly apprehensive about the hang! My missus and sister have also randomly booked us into this local wild sauna place where they have a sauna on a beach and then you have to run into the North Sea. Feels like it could be a Kill or Cure moment.
Away to a whisky festival tomorrow and very much looking forward to it! Also getting my (broken) car picked up to get repaired. I’ve been planning myself a road trip to send it off.
Think Ah just broke ma wee toe, aach. Hit it oan a marble corner by the baths, heard a crack. Still did 60 lengths, buy ooft that front crawl wis painfu like
Oot fer pints wi a pal next tae swatch e Embra v Scarlets game. Come oan Edinbra!
Then its kids the morn, nae idea fit tae dae as nae idea fit this toe’ll be like! Prolly films an computer games, an mibbe sum baking. Better get some pain killers in now.
Then blissfu Sunday oh peace an quiet. Mibbe social chess in the evening, see how this toe is!
£3.05 a pint of Deuchars. In Edinburgh! Gone back to 2001 here
You’re a harder man than me to have done your lengths like that
Breast stroke was fine enough. Front a painful exercise. Fingers crossed it’s a sprain? I heard a crack :(
As I understand it there’s not much to be done for a broken toe besides possibly binding it to the next-door toe anyway, right?
Pretty sure that’s true also. Trying to take it easy this morning
Oh no!!! Hows the toe??
Sair. Skipped the swim today for some weights instead. And embraced my creative side for a change: turned an empty Raasay whisky bottle see:

into an ornament with some dried flowers from the local corner shop. Cause ah bide in that kinda area!
Oh very nice!! I have dried my own flowers the last couple of years and have used them in vases in the house! I love dried flowers!!
Hiya! Been out in glasgow today for a boozy afternoon tea. Few drinks with friends and plenty chat!
Nice. What was the topic of the day then? Far too much Trump and AI in my life currently. Hence why I try to avoid posting that myself here!
Lots of work chat, but also Trump/Iran, ozempic/mounjaro users and music!!
