An Australian farmer bit a saltwater crocodile on the eyelid to save himself from being killed by the reptile.
Cattle herder Colin Deveraux was attacked by a 3.2-metre-long crocodile while he was on his way to put up some fencing near the Finniss River in Northern Territory last month.
The farmer, who was described as being a “veteran” in his sixties by public broadcaster ABC, had stopped by a lake when he noticed fish swimming in the middle of its receded water. As he began to step away a crocodile “latched” onto his right foot, he said.
Now that’s a man who’s played knifey spoony before
It’s getting out of hand - can’t fall over down there without getting your eyelid bitten by Australian man.
I’m impressed by my man’s flexibility. The croc bit his foot, which means to bite the croc’s eyelid he had to have gotten his mouth somewhere in the vicinity of his own foot.
That’s not a bite. THAT’S a bite.
Thanks, but I didn’t need another reason not to live in Australia after literally everything being venomous or poisonous.
That’s not fair, not everything is venomous or poisonous, some things are just disease ridden like the chlamydia bears.
and then if all that don’t kill you… you might get roasted by excessive heat or a wildfire instead.
They have signs for every hazard, but i though by far the scariest read “Fire season is coming, do you have your escape plan prepared?”.
Good, those signs are meant to be scary.
Bush fire session is imminent now, it’s gonna be a very hot & very dry summer, we just had the hottest winter on record which mean backburning targets are miles off so fuel load is way above average. I’d be amazed if we get to February with nobody dying
