Acrylic on canvas, 16x20 inches.
This is the motif I’ve developed over the years. Don’t really know if it’s good art, but it’s kind of relaxing to make, so that’s something anyways
A maze ing!
I hate when somebody finishes the maze before you
My first thought was, “the shortest path between two points”. Very cool!
Really cool! I kind of love it 😍
If I may ask, what’s your process like? Do you draw the path or the maze first? Do you ever do labyrinths? Do you follow some heuristic or just let the maze flow?
Thanks! :)
So, I do a grid system first in pencil, then outline the main path, and fill in all the branches just in a flow, based on whim and whimsy. Then I’ll prime the canvas and figure out my color scheme before starting to paint.
This one was a bit of a test for a 24x48 canvas I’m slowly working on.
I do a few of these a year just for kicks, this was my most recent big one, 30x40 inches.

A-star is born (hehe !)
Where are the ghosts?
Lurking, I assume? ;)
I call it Pacmaze, because it reminds me Pacman and a maze…
