This is part of why Churches are tax-exempt. So they wouldn’t be involved in politics. They’ve decided to ignore that norm, so it’s time to revoke that status. Tax these fuckers.
The law literally states that any church engaging in politics loses exempt status. The IRS has decided not to enforce the law because you know, fuck you (and me) I guess
To this day I still encounter people who think we shouldn’t tax churches because otherwise they’ll get political. I just I don’t even know how to respond anymore. I don’t even engage at this point. Someone who still says that is just not human.
They can try, but they will eat lead first.
