Since the other thread focused on the APNews “unspecified allegations” report and the obvious pushback to that, I feel like it’s important to highlight the actual major story–the long reporting, the testimony from eyewitness and confidants, etc.
It should be a fairly robust general rule, to be careful about lionizing people and to be wary of power, but it seems like it never will be. This part wasn’t the whole person, but it’s a damning example of how social power changes people or allows them to do varying degrees of terrible things.
