    Named as such because wearing a monocle was a subtle signal in LGBT culture of 1920s and 30s Paris that one was [ahem] inclined towards women.

    One imagines a few girls with one bad eye in Paris receiving unexpected attention!

    Once I printed out this pic and posted it on my wall. I adore this photo. I’ve used it for adult ESL classes to start conversation practice. There are so many stories happening in this one photo! And the history of this club is WILD
