Oh, whoops! Probably the the trans pride flag colored heart emojis I added at the end of the first bit, I’m guessing? I kind of momentarily forgot that some setups don’t support them properly, 'cause my brain is silly. Sorry about that!

but i love having the strength to hold my friendsss

That’s cool as hell, I wish I could do that! Your friends are lucky :D

You look great. I love that hat, and I love your bike too!

You could see it as “trashed”, or you could see it as “authentically deconstructed”. What cooler way to deconstruct clothes than welding?

uh more about my bicycle for those interested, it is a sparkley green 1971 schwinn breeze with “twenty-six inch rims” (they are actually a horrifically weird unstandard size) and a three speed coaster brake gear hub. i was able to find something similar from 1969 in this catalogue. it still has the inventory sticker and metal plaque from the bike shop that sold it new! (which was a store where i live, but is now gone)

    photo from day of purchase:

it came with the rear baskets, but i got the front basket from the same shop i got the bicycle itself from, for a whole five dollars. the bike was fifty dollars, new tires and tubes were all two dollars a piece. i also fixed the gear hub fairly recently because it kept slipping out of second gear, the springs costed in total three dollars.

another photo from the same day as the photo in original post

the bike was never actually designed for a front basket though, and the extra weight on the handlebars turned the wheel when parked, resulting in the bicycle falling over. the red and white thingy stops that. its 3d printed and bolted together, with a bit of 1/8" brass rod pressed in as the hinge.

a couple more (decently older) photos for fun

26’’ is fairly standard afaik (at least here in Germany it’s the second most common) is the width/density different?

the width is pretty normal, but the diameter of the inner tire is different from most 26" rims. this article covers it fairly well (this bike uses schwinn S-6 size), but in short tires for this bike are usually fairly hard to find. only one local bike shop had them, and they weren’t even in the inventory system… the only pair in the store had been sitting around for a couple years!
