Throat singing from Mongolia & Bagpipe and Drum music from Latvia
Very interesting combo!
Latvia has traditional bagpipes? oO
The Scottish Great Highland bagpipe is well known, but people have played bagpipes for centuries throughout large parts of Europe, North Africa, West Asia, around the Persian Gulf and northern parts of South Asia.
Bagpipes became associated with Scotland because Highland clans and regiments used them for ceremonies and battle, and 19th-century romanticization of Highland culture cemented them as a national symbol.
Maybe that stuff is why I thought so naively upon bagpipes?
You are not alone, many people assume that non-highland pipes are a rip off of Scotland.
Virtually (possibly every) variation of the bagpipes sounds different.
Btw, may I ask what your kitty is doing to that mess of yellow feathers?

That is my kitty, Mouse Police, she got herself wrapped up in a boa from a parade float i helped my drama kids make.
Hahaha, nice
Mouse Police
So… “Musepolitiet?”
