Some of the shots have the look of a Saturday Night Live skit. It looks like The Rock is hosting SNL and they’re doing a Moana spoof.

I’m generally not a fan of this sort of cynical nitpicking but I agree that it looks very flat in some shots. I get that these live action remakes are just cynical/lazy money grabs, but I don’t understand why so many people out there actually want to see them. I don’t think I’ve ever watched an animation and thought “I wish this was live action, that would be so cool”. These Disney ones are always so generic and boring, I just don’t get the appeal…
