Context: Beria was one of the most feared, high ranking men in the USSR, serving as head of the NKVD. His crimes against children and women were well known, many, and revolting. He served as Stalins right hand man for the latter half of Stalins reign and remained loyal to him until the end.

I need to rewatch The Death of Stalin.
In one case, Beria picked up Tatiana Okunevskaya, a well-known Soviet actress, under the pretence of bringing her to perform for the Politburo. Instead he took her to his dacha, where he offered to free her father and grandmother from prison if she submitted. He then raped her, telling her, “Scream or not, it doesn’t matter”. In fact, Beria knew that Okunevskaya’s relatives had been executed months earlier. Okunevskaya was arrested shortly afterwards and sentenced to solitary confinement in the Gulag, which she survived.
Just… Wow.

Nah fuck them. From what I’ve seen, all of the socialist/communist communities are absolutely filled with delusional totalitarianism worshipers. People who should be critically examining are instead repeating that there is no war in Ba Sing Se.

China actively engaging in corruption on the state level in mine and every other third world country - western propaganda.
China is actively abusing that same corruption to steal resources and annhiliate the environment - people who don’t have drinking water anymore due to a copper mine are obviously paid by the west to spread sinophobic propaganda. A video, from one of the few media agencies not controlled by the state, of a Chinese tire factory releasing industrial sewage into a river people are getting their water form - fake news obviously because they’re getting some of their money from the EU.
China actively using slave labour in my country - again western propaganda, no matter the victim reports from multiple countries across the world. Disregard the fact that I have first/second hand accounts of their living conditions, the only reputable source of information is the CCP. I’ve had quite a few insults thrown my way before the EU, UN, and the USA made public announcements that the exact consortium I was talking about was using slave labour.
I guess it just makes sense to take the higher interest loans with no oversight from China instead of the EU, use them to pay Chinese companies to build the most expensive infrastructure in Europe using literal SLAVE labour, have that infrastructure already kill more than a dozen people with many more in the future, and then pay off those debts by selling off waterways, national parks, and every other natural resource. I’m just an anti revolutionary fool for believing western propaganda, and China could never do anything wrong.

Running off of memory too, here, but I believe so. To my recollection, he sent an armed guard to retrieve his daughter, with orders to execute Beria on the spot if she seemed in any way violated.
