Attendees at this years Conservation Political Action Conference seem more lost than ever.

maybe i’m cynical, but this one caught me off guard.

While speaking from the CPAC stage Friday in Grapevine, Texas, American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp asked a question he apparently thought would hype up the crowd.

“How many of you would like to see impeachment hearings?”

The crowd erupted in cheers.

interesting, and much to schlapp’s chagrin, because

“No,” Schlapp responded, shaking his head. “That was the wrong answer. Let me try it again. How many of you would like to see impeachment hearings?” he asked the crowd for a second time.

Again, he was met with cheers.

“NOOO!” Schlapp responded with a chuckle.

there’s a video, and it’s really worth a watch.

one last excerpt, this one from melody schlapp yesterday

“I’m not hearing a boo when I say Joe Biden, people! Come on! We do audience participation here!”

It would be funny if it turned out that literally everyone was against Trump now, but the propaganda bullshit media systems have just been propping up the false support for him and it’s just a bunch of talking heads giving out scripted pro trump content for nobody

There definitely are still some insane idiots out there who are still full-on Trump-aid drinkers.

But their numbers are dwindling by the day.

(Sadly, it’s high gas prices that are driving many of them to finally wake up from the cult, not any of the countless better reasons to leave that cult … but I’ll take what I can get.)

lol, he’s like “let’s get them some coffee” as if they’re just tired and confused (which, tbh who knows if the CPAC audience realizes they’re cheering in favor of Trump’s impeachment, lol)

Wow, I can’t believe CPAC hasn’t made the news. This is the first I’ve even heard of it this year, and I read way too much news.

    Good.

Maybe they didn’t make the news this year because they managed to avoid huge Nazi symbols and refrained from calling themselves domestic terrorists?

Dang it, I went to cross post this to something like “political optimism,” only to realize that’s already where I was reading it.

The crowds are probably so worked into a frenzy by pre-show ‘entertainers’ that someone could go on stage and say absolute gibberish, and the crowd would cheer.

I assume he just supported whichever party was giving him more breaks on building violations at the time in NYC

Because they need a daddy figure to tell them how to feel and what to think. He was a “Democrat” in the '90s before he thought much about politics.
