    In December, the California legislature by a wide margin passed a bill that would have banned Pfas in cookware and other everyday products, but Newsom vetoed it after receiving pressure from the cookware industry and celebrity chefs. He has so far not said anything about the pesticide legislation.

    Reminder that Gavin Newsom is shit and you don’t want him as the next Democratic presidential candidate.

      The article says they only tested conventional because it’s coming from pesticides. When I sampled produce for pesticide residue, we would sample organic and they always came back clean.

      organic just means they specifically don’t add anything or use bad chemicals to weed/bugs, and there’s an upcharge because ‘certified’. if it’s there 3ish years prior and never going away…oh well… Sadly it’s a pointless term otherwise. it’s more a labelling term then anything.
