Of course the US would vote no to slavery being the greatest crime in all of humanity. The US genocided millions of native Americans. Slavery was minor on their list of crimes against humanity.
Spain certainly would want to list slavery as the worst crime against humanity so that their genocidal rampage of an entire continent isn’t noticed.
