So I’ve been interviewing with a startup for a few weeks now. All positive experiences and feedback, and I made it to the point where the next step is a chat with the CEO (and likely an offer). Got a call today from the recruiter who told me it was down to two people, and they were leaning towards the other candidate. She also said “I don’t think that person will actually quit their job, so you should just hold tight for a few days.”

I have no idea what to make of that. She said the only real difference is that person currently works at a different startup and I don’t work at one, which I guess makes them more qualified? I’m at a loss on this one really.

I have multiple other processes in play and I’m still applying but this just threw me and I wanted to share.
