As the title says, my 9 year old male cat goes bananas when my siblings playfight.

They’ll start to wrestle, tumble around and try to pin one another and my cat comes in and starts biting and smacking either one of them - generally whichever one is closer to my cat.

It’s not just when he’s in the room either. He’ll hear the commotion, come in from another room and start swatting and biting until they stop roughing each other up, at which point he’ll just go back to normal and wander about.

He doesn’t bite too hard or scratch with any apparent intention to harm them, so I’m just curious as to why he does it at all.
