I visited Cafe Chato in Verdun (first 6 photos) and Cafe Chat L’Heureux in Plateau-Mont Royal (last 3 photos) over the Easter long weekend.

• Lots more kids than I expected at both places. Maybe it’s quieter during the week. I think the noise made some of the cats scared.

• I got a good latte at Chato. I didn’t try the food.

There were 12 cats and they seem well taken care of.

• The Ronron salad at Chat L’Heureux was tasty. Coffee was okay. This place is bigger and had more visitors, and is louder. The bathroom smelled, maybe due to old pipes. They also have another location.
