This is Merlin, we just adopted him yesterday. he’s a great kitten (5 months old) and has been making biscuits on my leg all morning when he’s not exploring the furniture. At first he seemed a little too stressed to eat, which I’ve learnt is normal but earlier this morning he got enough confidence to eat. He knows where the water is (right next to the food + litter box) because we’ve seen him sniff it and ignore it. I just offered him a hand-fed spoon of water and he drank that perfectly fine, he just doesn’t seem to like the water in a bowl. I’ve heard of cat fountains but he didn’t have one with his foster owners. He is the most perfect little cat, used the litter box right away with no issues. He is my first cat, but my partner has owned one previously, hence why I’m probably over-concerned.
Is there something that we are doing wrong? Or does this just take time to get used to?
