My cat is male, neutered and FELV positive. We adopted him when he was 6 months old and he was the last of of all of the kittens. I imagine this behaviour is correlated to being removed from the mother too soon, but is there other things that can explain it? He is very sweet, generally doesn’t bite people except to warn hes overwhelmed or having zoomies, but he bites EVERYTHING ELSE. He chews on the feet of my chair, the sofa, cables, toys. He’s always beens fond of biting and chewing, since he was a kitten, but it has increased a bit in the last 6 months. We bought him matatabi sticks, which he loves. I’m trying to redirect the behaviour to the matatabi sticks, to prevent him from biting (even thought it’s not that hard) people when he’s overwhelmed and/or has the zoomies, but my mother is a bit against me training the cat, so she undoes a lot of what I’m trying to teach.

In general my cat is doing great, but I’m a bit concerned about the biting and would like advice, if possible. He is 2 years old, but acts a bit like a kitten and doesn’t seem to be, well, very smart. He’s head is also very small compared to his body, which is curious.
