My cat is 10 years old and recently started pooping weird places. Today I found his poop on the sofa. Our other cat (13) actually died almost 2 months ago because of heart disease. He started acting a little depressed after that and his poops got extra big and smelly. Then he started to eventually get back to normal. He still uses the litter box but sometimes leaves 1 or 2 random poops around. This is not normal behaviour for him at all. He still seems healthy and able. We also have a 5 month old baby. I’m starting to think that with all these changes, it might be for attention?

Has anyone experienced anything like this and what did you do to solve it?
