I feel like a lot of people think of a place like that in the manner of loss and sadness. But it’s just not the feeling that fills this place. We celebrate every day here. It’s about providing comfort to cats that had no other place.

There are disabled, terminal, FIV+, FELV+ (separate rooms) cats here. It’s most often the first place where they treated well, where they are loved.

And yes, there is loss here…

But it’s all about what you focus on. The aim here is to provide them with as many good days as we can. And also to help the pass when the time comes. When the pain begins.

I highly recommend finding a place like that near you to volunteer. It really gives you a new perspective on life.
