We have two cats, Tom (soon 2 yr) and Leia (soon 4 yr) and Tom has been cause of some frustration at home lately. Since around christmas he has started to show when he is frustrated or wants attention by seeking out ways to get us to react. We have tried to ignore when he does this as with previous cats we have learned to ignore bad behaviour and praise god behaviour. He has now found things we have a hard time ignoring. One is jumping in top of the tv when we are in the living room. The tv has a foot and isnt fixated to the wall so we can’t just let it be, we have to stop him or remove him when or before he does so. We have tried distracting him but we can spend a whole evening (several hours) playing with his toys to keep him engaged and the second we stop he goes straight to the tv…

When he jumps on the tv we grab him and put him in the bathroom which he doesnt seem to mind as it has heated flooring and he normally sleeps a bit so it is hardly even a punishment, and as we let him out the cycle continues…

We don’t know what to do and would love to hear some thoughts on what we can try to get him to stop!
