TLDR- grass seed litter exacerbated my ant problem

Hey guys wanted to give a quick grass seed litter warning. I wanted something organic for my cat. For the last couple of weeks I had this problem of ants. I would destroy them all and they kept returning. Had traps and spray. Would work and they’d come back. Was sweeping floors, feeding my cat on kitchen table. Was so confused as it seemed every day they found a new crevice to come through.

I started to ponder grass seed and read ants are attracted to it. Saw a decent amount of ants near my cats litter box and immediately replaced the litter with clay.

Have not seen any ants since.

It’s possible the grass seed wasn’t the initial cause of ants. I was giving my cat beef broth that may have attracted them. But once the ants arrived, they found consistent use of the grass seed
