12 year old Pippy’s favourite place to sleep is my lap. Failing that, either “my” bed or her cat tree perch.

I’ve offered her various boxes of various sizes and she just never seemed interested. She often sleeps in perfectly box-sized loaf/ball, I guess she just likes having the *option* to stretch out.
