Let me clarify a bit better, I know disabled cat is vague. My girlfriend and I recently adopted a teenage kitten, and both of her back legs were broken at some point before her shelter intake. They healed on their own before she was brought in, and as consequence the bones have fused incorrectly. She manages around fine, but has one “lame” leg that she has some movement in, but primarily drags across the floor. We’re starting to notice a bald patch on this leg where it touches the floor, and I’m wondering if anyone has any suggestions to help mitigate this? We have vinyl flooring, and while I considered carpet I worry that may just cause friction burns? We’re calling the vet tmrw to get her on the books, but I’m looking for more practical solutions in the meantime. It doesn’t seem to hurt her at all, but I imagine it will start to as it continues
