A lot of social media is managed by agencies and use automation that likes tweets about their clients with positive sentiment. Sometimes these tools get the sentiment wrong.

His twitter is 100% run by him. There’s no automated tool to like Always Sunny and Fortnite tweets.

Yeah I have a lot of respect for people who are chill with this. I remember there was an NBA player named Corey Maggette whose nickname was Bad Porn because “Sure there’s scoring and penetration but do you really like what you’re seeing?” and he mostly laughed it off.

I have mad respect for people who can take criticism/see it in a positive light. Even more so considering that 99 percent of professional athletes have such fragile egos.

This could not be me. There’s no way I’d be reading this shit in his posisition, I don’t think I’d do social media at all.

99 percent of non-athlete would be just as “fragile” if their lives were so public, it just goes untested

It takes a lot to grow a thick skin. And even with one, things can set you off. I’ve never yelled at anyone in anger in my life, but the time someone was terrible to my gf I got so pissed I started seeing red. Shit just happens sometimes

Someone in our match thread against them last week said his pocket had another pocket which had Antony in it…or something like that. Completely nullified Antony that day.

Shade to the inside, give him the wing to run down and pass backwards. I’ve done it. I’ve pocketed Antony

I mean he usually beats our left backs (zinchenko is not the best one on one defender) he just has awful end product / decision making. But actually keeping him quiet the entire match is an accomplishment imo

Yeah, but antony puts himself in a pocket. He’ll find a way to be pocketed by anyone

Some people don’t understand that football is not as easy as it seems. From the stands and the TV, you get a top view where you can see every player and the entire pitch. But the players don’t get this view.

He gets pelters from our fans non stop. It’s easy likes on twitter so even if he’s played well, there will be tons of tweets saying he’s the worst player to play for the club.

I wish I could take criticism like some of these guys. I could get the most constructive, sensible criticism in the world and it feels like I’m getting attacked with a knife

He is. Good defensively, good pace, but has the unfortunate task of almost everything going down the left and then being crossed into a box of 4 defenders and maybe 1 striker if we’re lucky.

Tactically we look terrible right now and our strength of scoring from set pieces isn’t there this season. Part of it due to losing Mitro who was a miracle worker, but what Silva does right now in a match isn’t good enough and it isn’t all on the strikers - we’re not trying different things to create chances and every match seems to be the same.

I’d agree with that. I’m a huge Marco fan but we really need to find a different way to play. This isn’t working. We basically never change our system
