Hi all! So I have a bit of a dilemma. My MIL thinks it’s cruel that our cat is strictly indoor only. She was fostered and I adopted her, and her foster carers told me she’s indoor only. She said the cat should be out all day, and only come in to sleep at night. I feel upset as now I’m thinking is it cruel that she has never or never will go outside? She has a scratcher, some toys and a big window she loves. Can I have advice please? She’s only 2 and I’ve had her for 4 months. My MIL really wants to let her outside and see how she gets on but tbh I’m so scared. (MIL doesn’t live with us FYI)

Next, I am going away from Friday until Sunday, so for around 50 hours altogether. My cat sitters availability has changed (I can’t afford another one) and cannot call in till Saturday evening which means my cat will be alone for 24 hours. I will leave her fresh litter, loads of extra food and all her toys out. She has been alone overnight before.

Can I have advise on both of these?
